Cover Reveal, Release Date, Book Blurb, Interior Formatting Preview, and Book Excerpt for The Prophecy of the Codex!
It’s time for a TON of book release goodies! Ready??
Book Cover
A few days ago, I sent out an email with my cover reveal, book blurb, and release date announcement for my upcoming book, The Prophecy of the Codex. But I realized I hadn’t put it here, so here goes!
Isn’t it the most beautiful thing EVER?? 😍
My cover designer, Stone Ridge Books, is amazing. I love it so much, and I can’t wait to see it on the shelf next to The Secret of the Codex!
Book Release Date
Get ready — The Prophecy of the Codex will be released on October 27th, 2020! That’s super soon! Ahhh! Excuse me while I go freak out.
Final Book Blurb
I just love this book so much, and I tried to put all of that emotion into this book blurb. I hope it gets you really excited to read it!
With the Secret of the Codex finally revealed, the Four—archaeologists Kayla, Grady, Mandy, and Justin—are just trying to get back to their normal lives. But destiny has other plans.
A mysterious disappearance in a museum sets into motion a terrifying chain of events that can only mean one thing: Their greatest of enemies is back and determined to steal the Power of the Codex for themselves.
And a new journey begins. As the Four travel through the rainforests and mountains of Belize, they discover an ancient treasure trove of supernatural artifacts and once again encounter the Clan that will stop at nothing to prevent them from fulfilling the prophecies detailed in the Codex. This time around, old friends become family, old enemies become friends, new enemies become ruthless, and the strongest of relationships are tested. But one thing’s for certain: Kayla, Grady, Mandy, and Justin are headed into their most heartbreaking and life-changing journey yet.
Perfect for fans of Dan Brown and James Rollins, this archaeological supernatural action-adventure series is filled with ancient treasures, unlikely superheroes, and legendary romance.
Interior Formatting Preview
And since it’s October 1st, you know what that means: It's book release month! That's right! We're only TWENTY-SEVEN short days away from The Prophecy of the Codex launch! I absolutely cannot wait. Seriously. You will probably get sick of hearing me say that, but I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. 😆
To celebrate the first day of book release month (trust me, it's a thing), I thought I'd give you a little excerpt from the book plus give you a little sneak peek at the interior formatting. My husband, Andrew (AKA the master formatter) has been hard at work getting the interior formatting perfect, and I am super excited about how it turned out. Ready?
Let's do the interior design preview first. (And it even has a little mini-excerpt on it!!)
Book Excerpt
This chapter is in the midst of all the craziness during the climax, so I thought I'd share an excerpt from the beginning of this chapter. It was hard to do without major spoilers, which is why some names are redacted so I don't give too much away. 😜 Enjoy!

Holun’s eyes flashed open, and he saw that all eyes in their circle were on him, as if waiting for the report of what he’d seen before they’d spring into action.
It wasn’t good.
“We have to go now!” he shouted then started running toward the back wall.
He felt—though he wasn’t sure how—Grady struggle to keep the protective wall around him, around them as they ran, but he somehow managed. The wall of water undulated, changed, but still managed to stay up. Holun was grateful. He’d seen what would happen if it came down.
They managed to get to the back wall, Grady’s wall of water now adjusting to cover them on three sides. He included ******* inside, and Holun looked over at them just as his jaw connected with something very hard, something like . . . *******’s fist.
Holun went flying across their safety zone, almost into the wall of water. He sensed ******* coming for him, and he scrambled out of the way. Yatzil was screaming, running toward him.
The boy, *******, opened his mouth and screamed toward the water. Holun looked up in time to see Grady fighting to keep it up, teeth clenched, hands in the air, veins standing out on his forehead. He started growling with the effort.
Holun rolled out of the way of *******’s fist. He didn’t know how he’d anticipated it—maybe his power was growing?
Yatzil was at his side now and fell down next to him. “Yatzil, don’t . . .” he eked out before rolling the opposite direction to miss *******’s fist again. ******* connected with Yatzil’s shoulder—Holun almost felt the punch as he watched her shoulder shoot backward—and she yelped and skidded across the cement floor.

More Goodies
If you'd like to see the replay of the live I just did over on Instagram, check that out here! I talked about when I wrote the book, why it took me so long to finish it, and when ARCs and preorder information will be available. I also post a bunch of book excerpts and aesthetics there, too, so give me a follow!
Last thing — if you're on Goodreads, be sure to add The Prophecy of the Codex to your TBR pile!
